What to expect

Text or logo

Use words such as DRAFT, or a JPG, PNG or WEBP logo. A logo's size is a percentage of the page width.

Your choice of position

Across the middle, repeated all over, or in any corner.

Control the strength

Set it from 5 to 100%, so your document stays easy to read.

Tips for a good watermark

Which position to use

PositionBest for
DiagonalDRAFT or COPY across the middle of each page
Repeat acrossMaterial you especially don't want reused, as it's hard to crop out
A cornerA small logo on a brochure or report
CenterA logo behind a certificate or letter

If the watermark makes pages hard to read

Lower the strength first, as 20 to 35% is enough for most text marks. The watermark is drawn over the page, so a dark color at high strength will cover your words. Go back to your original file each time, because a second watermark would be added on top of the first one.
